Katie loves op-shopping in her spare time and has always second hand shopped. Even with limited shops in Christchurch growing up, she always found amazing outfits for parties, events and general dressing up. While op shopping in Methven after tramping Mt Somers (where both her parents grew up) it was here the tassel umbrella one piece came to life! Inspired from a 70’s sun umbrella she found that day, it’s here she came up with the concept using not only the pattern from the umbrella but incorporating the tassels from the umbrella into the one piece - making this her personal favourite swimsuit of the range! With a great story of where the idea came from to go with it! Only 30 each have been made in two patterns as Katie wants to keep her unique swimwear to be limited edition one off’s. As always, Katie keeps an awareness of recycling, and maintaining a low-waste footprint.
